Wow.

I just read something that actually made me tear up. I didn't expect it to hit me that way. It struck such a nerve in me -- that anxious, self-doubting nerve that sometimes wonders if I'm "good enough" as a writer.

If you've ever shared those doubts, CLICK HERE. (<--I found the link on Janet Reid's amazing blog)

It will inspire you. It will touch your spirit and make you smile. And mostly, it will remind you of something very important -- that it's all about perception. If we think we can't, we can't.

  1. New to visiting you after reading your post on Guide to Literary Agents.
Nice post by the way regarding 'hooks'. It's difficult to be aware and not subject your work to something you didn't want it to be just for the sake of a hook, if you know what I mean. It's a fine balance that can lead to heavy handedness as you already stated, but it also can't be ignored. Ugh!
Anyway, I clicked on the above and it was gorgeous!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Oh so true. We can decide our attitude, and perceptions, each and every day. The Can-Do attitude is one of the first steps ...

  3. Thanks for your comments! EA, thanks for letting me know how you found my blog - I was excited about the GLA post! Very honored to be on that amazing blog...

I agree about the word "balance" when it comes to hooks. It's a delicate balance, for sure!

  5. I'm here from GLA, too. However, when I click on the link it doesn't go to Janet Reid but to a Jelly-domething site in another language. I can still get to her site but thought I'd let you know just in case your link is broken. Could be my connection, though.

  6. Hi Tricia - thanks for letting me know about GLA! I probably should edit my post a bit - that Jelly-something site is actually correct (I originally found it on Janet's site, so wanted to give her some credit for it).

  7. Oh wait, when I clicked from Janet's site, I got the same thing. I scrolled further and realized I was at the right place afterall. I had assumed I was going to JR's site from yours. That's what threw me.

Anyhoo, the artwork was amazing as well as the message.
